With just two weeks left before "Mummies of the World" leaves Milwaukee, the Milwaukee Public Museum hit an attendance milestone: people from all 50 states have attended the touring exhibit. Visitors from Guam, Puerto Rico and Washington D.C. have also come to the MPM to see the popular exhibit.

"Mummies of the World" has indeed been a major attraction for the MPM. In December, the museum set a one-day attendance record with more than 10,000 visitors, and the exhibit as a whole reached a nationwide tour milestone with its 300,000th visitor in March.

"Mummies," which is on a seven-city tour, features 150 artifacts from around the world and explains the reasons and processes cultures used to mummify their deceased.

"Mummies of the World" has timed tours and requires a ticket to attend. It is highly recommended that visitors plan ahead with reservations. Tickets and reservations are available through Memorial Day, May 30 online or via phone at (414) 223-4676.
