There's a new place for breakfast or lunch now open in Elm Grove and it's called Nora B's. First things first. The 'B' stands for Barton.

Nora Barton says she created a job for herself after being without one for 13 months. Armed with no experience in running a restaurant but plenty of ideas -- and a few killer Italian recipes -- she figured why not give it a try.

Nora B's has just opened in the Elm Grove Village Court at 890 Elm Grove Rd.

"Location, location, location," she explained. "We have a lot of built-in customers here looking for a place to eat."

The heart of soul of Nora B's? Good, fresh, home-cooked food.

"I make a killer eggplant parmesan," Barton said.

At the grand opening celebration Nora presented a full buffet to sample from, and I for one can tell you that the baked sausage ziti was to die for!

While it may seem like a bold move to open a restaurant in a tough economy, Nora says she has no fears.
