The Austrian-American Society of Milwaukee will present two folk music concerts, showcasing guest youth musicians from Austria in collaboration with local talent.

Both performances will feature a group of 20 musicians from Oberwart, a city in the eastern province of Burgenland. The musicians will perform alongside special guests from Blaskapelle Milwaukee and Tanzlmusi, as well as Peggy Mueller on button box.

The first concert will take place Saturday, July 9 at Sacred Heart Croatian Hall, 917 N. 49th St. at 7:30 p.m. Admission is only $5, and refreshments will also be available.

They will also accompany – and perform following – the 10:30 a.m. Mass at St. Catherine Church, 5101 W. Center St. Sunday, July 10.

Their performances are organized by Michigan's Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp, which provides exchange opportunities for music students from Europe and the U.S.
