We’re nearing the peak of harvest season in Wisconsin, that beautiful time of year when fresh tomatoes and eggplant are available alongside cooler weather crops like brussels sprouts and winter squash.
Odd Duck is celebrating the season alongside one of their farm partners, Farm Happy. Together, they are hosting a fun, family-friendly afternoon of farm tours, a casual meal featuring farm fresh produce, plus music, games and activities for the kids.
The Harvest Jamboree
The Harvest Jamboree will take place on Sunday, Sept. 29 from 2 to 8 p.m. at Farm Happy, 4347 Jackson Dr. in Jackson, Wisconsin (just 30-35 minutes northeast of Milwaukee).
Farm tours led by Farm Happy’s Jennifer and John McConville will include views of the 10-acre farm’s fields, visits with their chickens and the ducks who lay the eggs Farm Happy delivers to Odd Duck.
Guests will also enjoy a casual buffet-style feast showcasing Farm Happy produce and local meats prepared by the Odd Duck team. Options will be available for eaters of all stripes, including vegetarian and vegan diners. A cold buffet will be served around 3 p.m. with hot fare introduced around 5 p.m.
Guests are asked to bring picnic blankets, lawn chairs or folding tables plus sunscreen and bug spray (just in case). Casual attire and sensible shoes for navigating the farm are also recommended.
Get your tickets
Adult tickets are $75 per person and can be purchased online. Children under the age of 12 eat free. Each ticket includes a buffet-style dinner and a choice of one seasonal non-alcoholic cocktail, alcoholic cocktail, wine or beer. Iced tea, lemonade and water will also be available.
Should weather require the event to be canceled, it will be rescheduled.
