OnMilwaukee.com reported in February about a new cafe and bar coming to Bay View called Odd Duck and it's now open for business.

Located in the former Future Green space, Odd Duck offers an ever-changing menu for vegetarians, vegans and omnivores of small plates, sandwiches and cocktails inspired by local ingredients.

"Our food and cocktails are inspired by all sorts of things as varied as the smell of grass in the spring and street food in Turkey. The goofy creativity of the kids in our lives, the summer farmer’s market at South Shore Park, the memory of the perfect Popsicle when we were children," reads the website.

Ross Bachhuber, former executive chef for the Lowlands Restaurant Group and Piano Blu on Pewaukee Lake, is Odd Duck's co-owner and executive chef. He owns the business with service industry vet Melissa Buchholz.

The kitchen is open Monday-Saturday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Bar hours are from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday-Thursday and from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. Friday-Saturday.
