Fake bacon-wrapped jalapenos -- In my opinion, grilling season is a great time to get creative with your cooking. While at a cookout last week the smell of grilled jalapenos filled the backyard and people started huddling around the grill to see just what was making our mouths water. One couple had stuffed about 20 large jalapenos -- half with cream cheese, half with pepper jack -- and wrapped each one in a strip of Smart bacon. If the smell of these glorious creations was tempting, the taste was truly a summertime treat. And like I said, be creative. Try stuffing them with all kind of different cheeses -- or for you carnivorous folks, use real bacon! -- Julie Lawrence

babble.com -- A few months ago, my coworker turned me on to babble.com (thanks, Jeff) and since then, I have visited the parenting site almost every day. The site features some of my favorite mom writers -- Ayun Halliday and Lisa Carver -- and provides plenty of meaty info in a light and witty way. Best of all, babble.com reminds me not to take the teeny stuff too seriously. Sure, my son goes to a Waldorf preschool, but I howled after reading an article called "Weird or Waldorf?" which listed Waldorf toys and philosophies, and asked readers to decide what was truly part of the Waldorf curriculum, and what was just plain weird. -- Molly Snyder Edler

"Cupid's Chokehold" by Gym Class Heroes -- I am in love with this song. The verses are endearing, although not the best rapped. Fall Out Boy's Patrick Stump does the guest vocals for the amazingly catchy chorus, sampled from Supertramp's "Breakfast in America." What got me started on liking the song was the cute music video complete with dancing cupid, which turns out to be the second video made for the song. Either way, great song. -- Heather Leszczewicz

"Entourage" on HBO -- It's not like we just discovered this show. We were on it from Episode 1 and urged all our friends to jump on board immediately. Some listened. Others bought the DVDs and caught up. Now, just about everyone we know watches the saga of actor Vincent Chase and his posse -- manager Eric, stepbrother Johnny Drama and gofer Turtle. If you haven't watched it, consider it a guy's version of "Sex and the City," with Los Angeles as a backdrop a slice of biting inside Hollywood humor as "The Larry Sanders Show." It may sound blasphemous, but this show has officially usurped its lead-in "The Sopranos" as the must-see show on Sunday night. -- Drew Olson

The Volkswagon bus -- I just plunked down some cash for an old VW bus -- a 1980 Westfalia in very good condition and rust-free -- to serve as our new camping vehicle. Most drivers will indeed leave us chug-chugging in the dust, but this is the beauty of the old V-dub. It's for those rare and wonderful stretches of time when I'm actually not in a hurry. -- M.E.

"Hot Fuzz" -- From the minds of Simon Pegg and Edgar Wright, creators of "Shaun of the Dead," "Hot Fuzz" is one of the most hilarious films to come out so this year. It's a definitely must see if you love British comedy or laughing. "Fuzz" has some of the best British actors co-starring, including Jim Broadbent and Bill Nighy, plus there are cameos by "Lord of the Rings" director Peter Jackson and Cate Blanchett. -- H.L.

Dulce de Leche Frappuccino from Starbucks -- Tasty goodness. It's a lot creamier than the regular caramel Frappuccino yet still has all the caramel taste. -- H.L.

J.J. Hardy -- The Brewers have the best record in baseball and their 24-year-old shortstop has been a major reason. Like fellow infielders Prince Fielder and Rickie Weeks and centerfielder Bill Hall, this is an exciting young player who is going to be with the team for a few years, which makes it easier to invest in one of those authentic jerseys. -- D.O.
