After 43 years of soap opera drama, heartbreak, heroics, crazy story lines and hope ABC's "One Life to Live" ends today.

My wife, who still dabbles in an occasional soap opera, tells me that the many former stars have made cameos on the show this week and even more interesting that two of the long time actresses on the series spent time right here in Milwaukee early in their careers.

Both Judith Light and Erica Slezak performed for The Milwaukee Rep.

Slezak plays Victoria Lord on the show, and was a member of the Rep for three seasons. Light (Karen Wolek) performed with the Milwaukee Repertory and the Seattle Repertory Theatres in the early 1970s. Light, among other roles, played Angela Bower on the ABC show "Who's the Boss?" She was nominated for a Tony Award for her role in the Broadway production of "Lombardi."

In other soap news, if you're a "All My Children" fan the traveling tribute for the show stops in Milwaukee tomorrow (Saturday) at The Pabst Theater.
