With Harley-Davidson's 115th anniversary celebration coming up over Labor Day weekend, the sound of engines revving will soon be everywhere in Milwaukee: down every street, gathered at venues across the city and, thanks to the new Oriental Theatre, on the big screen. 

Running Friday, Aug. 31 and Saturday, Sept. 1, the renovated, Milwaukee Film-run Oriental Theatre will host the Milwaukee Motorcycle Film Festival, a two-day movie micro-series dedicated to the Venn diagram of Hollywood and hogs. The festival will screen four motorcycle-centric films, ranging from a rev-worthy recent documentary to an old-school classic and a rubber-burning cult banger.

"12 O'Clock Boys"

A popular documentary pick from the 2013 Milwaukee Film Festival, "12 O'Clock Boys" follows the famed Baltimore dirt-bike gang as they ride and pop wheelies through the difficult neighborhoods where they serve as rebellious icons for the struggling community. Screening at 7 p.m. on Aug. 31.

"Psychomania"

With a title like "Psychomania," a movie must be crazy – and indeed this '70s cult classic is, about a biker gang who takes a break from rampaging through their small British town to discover the key to eternal life and return from the dead as zombies ... that then rampage through their small British town. So yes, it's a little nuts. Come see this one-of-a-kind movie – and in 35mm! Screening at 9:40 p.m. on Aug. 31.

"The Wild One"

There are few motorcycle movies more iconic than "The Wild One," featuring the great Marlon Brando as an outlaw motorcycle gang leader in the middle of a chaotic battle for a small town, with rival riders all arriving to cause trouble and roar down the roads. Screening at 3 p.m. on Sept. 1.

"Sugar and Spade"

After 30 years apart on opposite sides of the country, "Spade" George and Austin "Brown Sugar," two long-time friends and icons in American chopper culture and the U.S. motorcycle scene, reunite to share stories, rehash history and celebrate their unique rides. Come see the film – complete with the filmmaker in attendance and live music from Rocco Deluca. Screening at 5:30 p.m. on Sept. 1.
