Sporty nature lovers get ready for the areas first in a planned annual Outdoorsy Triathlon MKE, set for Saturday, Sept. 9 to benefit Milwaukee Parks Foundation.

The noncompetitive event will have you hiking, biking and kayaking from the North Shore to Walker’s Point.

The event is part of a 40-city 2023 Get Outside Tour.

The triathlon starts with a two-mile hike  from Yellow Wood outdoors shop on Silver Spring Drive in Whitefish Bay to Wheel & Sprocket’s Fox Point location. Next, bike 10 miles along the Oak Leaf Trail to Milwaukee Kayak Company, before finally paddling the Milwaukee and Menomonee Rivers to end up in Walker’s Point at Broken Bat Brewing for the after-party.

“The Outdoorsy Triathlon is a great way to get people out in nature to experience our city from new perspectives while supporting one of our most valuable cultural assets – the Milwaukee County Parks,” said Yellow Wood owner Moshe Katz.

You can register now, but hurry because the event is limited to 100 participants. Click here for more information and to register.

“We’re thrilled to add Milwaukee to our loop and spotlight the incredible opportunities for outdoor engagement available in the Midwest,” said Get Outside Tour Event Project Manager Randy Propster.
