’Tis Dining Month, the tastiest time of year! This means we’re dishing up fun and fascinating food content throughout October. Dig in, Milwaukee! OnMilwaukee Dining Month is served up by Potawatomi Casino Hotel

Are you among Owen Han’s 4.3 million TikTok followers, 2.2 million Instagram followers, and 800,000 YouTube subscribers?  Then this is for you. (If not, you have a bit of time to bone up on the culinary influencer who’s captured the internet’s attention with his love for sandwiches.)

TikTok’s reigning “Sandwich King” is embarking on a four-city, five-event book tour to promote his new book “STACKED: The Art of the Perfect Sandwich” which is slated to be released on Oct. 15.

The book showcases easy-to-follow recipes for Han’s epic sandwich creations, which include modern twists on classic recipes and integrating global flavors inspired by his Italian and Chinese heritage. Ah, yes. And in Owen’s book, anything that can be stacked and held in your hand counts as a sandwich—from a taco to a bao to a wrap.

The four cities on his inaugural tour include Los Angeles, New York, Sarasota, Florida and – the nation’s fastest developing foodie city – Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

You are invited

Guests are invited to a very special cookbook author event with Han on Wednesday, Oct. 16 at 6:30 p.m. in the DaDa on the third floor of Saint Kate - The Arts Hotel, 139 E. Kilbourn Ave.

The event will include a meet and greet with Han and a tasting of three of his sandwich recipes:

  • Moroccan Potato Cakes with Harissa Mayo in Pita
  • Mortadella with Pistachio Pesto on Schiacciata
  • New Orleans Debris Po’Boy

Wine will be paired with each sandwich for guests to enjoy.

Tickets are $85 per person and can be purchased online. Each includes a copy of the book, a special tasting of three petite-sized sandwiches from the book and wine pairings.
