Unfortunately, it's a new year but the same tune for Ozzy Osbourne fans as the iconic rocker announced Monday night that he was cancelling his 2020 "No More Tours 2" North American dates – including his Summerfest headlining gig on July 1, which was already a rescheduled date after postponing his July 4 Big Gig set in 2019.
Unfortunately, his very valid reasoning is the same as last time: He's still recovering from a number of serious health issues over the past year – including pneumonia – requiring intensive treatment.
"I’m so thankful that everyone has been patient because I’ve had a sh*t year," Osbourne said, in a statement posted to his official Facebook page Monday evening. "Unfortunately, I won’t be able to get to Switzerland for treatment until April and the treatment takes six-eight weeks.
"I don’t want to start a tour and then cancel shows at the last minute, as it’s just not fair to the fans. I’d rather they get a refund now, and when I do the North American tour down the road, everyone who bought a ticket for these shows will be the first ones in line to purchase tickets at that time."
In addition to putting those with "No More Tours 2" tickets first in line for admission for the next tour, refunds for the cancelled show are available at the original point of purchase.
