A colleague dropped by the DMV the other day to renew his plates and picked up a license plate application for Packers vanity plates (actually, the application is for "Green Bay Packer" plates -- apparently, it's for individual Packers players or something).
Anyway, he pointed out that, for personalized Packers plates, you pay $15 to get the plates, plus $15 in annual feeds. You also make a $25 tax-deductible donation to Lambeau Field. Why, asked my coworker, aren't there Brewers or Bucks license plates for the taking?
That's a good question. But a better question is what kind of snarky Packers plates are still available?
According to the application, you must make the three choices and offer an explanation of why you choose each one. Personalized plates can be one to six characters long, including spaces (unless you choose six characters).
Being the smart ass that I am, I jumped over to the Web site of the D.O.T. to see what kind of options remain available. I assuming many of the following would get tossed out pretty quickly, but overall I found the results of my quick search surprising.
