This morning, the Wisconsin State Fair announced three more acts – Phil Vassar, 311 and MercyMe – for the Potawatomi Main Stage.
Country singer-songwriter Phil Vassar will take the stage first on Thursday, July 31. Vassar first became known as a songwriter for country stars like Alan Jackson and Tim McGraw before starting up his own country career in 2000 with his hit song, "Just Another Day in Paradise." Rising country artist Maggie Rose will open for Vassar.
The show begins at 7:30 p.m., with tickets costing either $25 or $20. All track tickets for the concert will be general admission, standing room only.
Christian rock band MercyMe will then take the stage on Monday, Aug. 4 along with their opening act, Hillsong Young & Free. The performance starts at 7:30 p.m., and tickets will be $35 and $25.
Finally, 311 will bring their signature blend of rock, funk, reggae, rap to the Main Stage on Friday, Aug. 8. They are most known for their hit songs "Down," "All Mixed Up" and the ethereal love ballad "Amber."
An opener has not yet been announced for 311, but the show will start at 8 p.m., with tickets also costing $35 and $25. Much like the Vassar show, track tickets will be general admission, standing room only.
Tickets for all three shows go on sale Friday, Mar. 21 at 10 a.m. at the Wisconsin State Fair's website or at the Fair ticket office.
The Wisconsin State Fair runs from July 31 through Aug. 10.
