Back in May I raved on this blog about the new record from France's Phoenix, "It's Never Been Like That," released on Astralwerks Records. With it's breezy, poppy sound, the record should be the soundtrack to the summer of '06.

Now we get news that the band plays an invite-only show at The Rave on Thursday, July 27. The tour is sponsored by Camel -- they are French, after all, so a cigarette sponsorship is a no-brainer -- and you can get details on how to get "invited" at www.camelsmokes.com.
