Pier 347
Lakefront Bar and Grill
347 Park Ave
Pewaukee
(262) 691-9347

Casual seaside dining on the banks of Lake Pewaukee in an historic building dating back to the early 1900s is drawing quite a crowd during the warm summer months.

Inside, the noisy, bustling dining room is awash in all things nautical: fish nets, model boats and a huge salt water aquarium. They all mesh well with the vibrant bar, bright white tables and chairs and the huge picture windows overlooking the lake. A small side patio allows outdoor dining and leads to the lower lakefront dining area which holds the Pier's most sought after tables (only limited menu items are available outdoors).

Steaks, fresh seafood, pasta, salads, sandwiches and 1/3 lb. burgers fill the bill. There's a variety of beef, grilled salmon with pistachio tarragon cream, sea scallops with white wine and thyme reduction, sautéed tilapia with lemon dill, pan fried baby walleye and crab cakes with béarnaise.

A Door County style fish boil and cod and perch fry make for an interesting Friday night. Be warned that the radio and hardwood make for a noisy environment, so don't come here in quest of a quiet evening of conversation unless you opt for the outdoor patios.

Inexpensive to moderate.
