Promises will soon open at 538 W. National Ave. – on the corner of National Avenue and Sixth Street – as first reported by Milwaukee Record.

The large, two-room space was the former home of Gibaltar MKE and, more recently, Walker's Point Music Hall.

Promises – which hopefully will open in July - will serve as a live music and DJ venue as well as a casual sports bar and event space. Karaoke, pinball and pool will also be a part of the experience.

Promises is a joint venture between Joey "Turbo" Peterson and bandmate Casey Hughes. Both are members of the local band Platinum Boys.

Stay tuned to OnMilwaukee for a First Look later this summer.
