It’s scream-worthy news for Shorewood, as Indulgence Chocolatier’s prepares to add a scoop shop to its chocolate boutique at 4525 N. Oakland Ave.

The local chocolatier, which celebrates its 10th anniversary in 2017, will undergo renovations over the next month to add a 12-flavor dipping cabinet and ice cream counter, as well as a few other modifications.

The scoop shop will debut sometime in May, and – like the boutique’s Wauwatosa location – will offer Purple Door Ice Cream in cones and dishes, along with Indulgence signature toppings like dark chocolate sea salt sauce, cacao nib and candied bacon crumble, grey salt caramel sauce, toffee schnibbles and honey marshmallow cream. Select ice cream flavors will also be available for purchase in pints.

The addition of ice cream also means extended hours for the Shorewood shop, which will be open Tuesday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 8 p.m.
