The coronavirus pandemic has changed our everyday life, but it doesn't need to change who we are. So, in addition to our ongoing coverage of the coronavirus, OnMilwaukee will continue to report on cool, fun, inspiring and strange stories from our city and beyond. Stay safe, stay healthy, stay informed and stay joyful. We're all in this together. #InThisTogetherMKE
The owners of Purple Door, Steve and Lauren Schultz, also happen to be former educators, and so they combined their passions for ice cream and learning with a new kit that's both tasty and uniquely educational.
"We are finding it challenging to keep things creative and exciting for our two boys during these homeschool weeks. With education and ice cream as our inspiration we have come up with this little gem to help us all get to the other side," say the Schultzes.
Purple Door is offering a 4-pack of Purple Door pints for $30 that includes an educationally-based "idea sheet" for activities to do at home with dry ice (included with the order), boxes and, of course, ice cream.
E-learning activity sheets contain between 6-8 activities focused on different subjects. Purple Door will be changing up the sheet every week.
There is a modest shipping fee above the $30, but Milwaukee customers can avoid it by picking up packs at the Walker's Point store, 205 S. 2nd St. First orders will ship out on Monday, March 23rd. For more information, click here.
