The rainbow crosswalks, located at the intersection of Jefferson and Wells St. in Downtown Milwaukee at Cathedral Square, will soon be repainted, according to Urban Milwaukee. Perfect timing for OnMilwaukee's Pride Week!

The repainting is scheduled for Saturday, June 6 if the weather cooperates.

The crosswalks were first painted in 2018 thanks to an effort started by This Is It! bar owner, George Schneider.

The crosswalks commemorate the location of Milwaukee's first pride march in 1989, which ended at Cathedral Square.
