I’m about as far from "Red Neck Crazy" as you can get. I’m a city boy who was raised in the suburbs and went to college in a Downtown area. Not a whole lot of country in me.
But country music is in me and pretty much all I listen to. And I must say that Tyler Farr’s latest single, "Red Neck Crazy," is easily my favorite song of the fall. It’s catchy and, yes, crazy. It also features his country music friends Colt Ford and Lee Brice and Willie Robertson of "Duck Dynasty" in the video.
I can’t relate to it at all, but I love it. And, no, I don’t endorse the fictional actions in the song.
How can’t you love these lyrics?

There are many reasons why I love country music. One of them is that country fans are just that, fans of the genre, not just one country artist or one group. I like this a lot. It’s about community, more so than this dude or that singer or group. Yet many people love to "hate" country music, even as it becomes more and more popular. Country music is good, crosses over into most other genres, doesn’t take itself too seriously and always tells a great, if not crazy, story.

He owns a condo in Downtown and lives in greater Milwaukee with his wife Stephanie, his son, Jake, and daughter Pierce. He's a political, music, sports and news junkie and thinks, for what it's worth, that all new movies should be released in theaters, on demand, online and on DVD simultaneously.
