The Milwaukee Habitat for Humanity will move its ReStore to 3015 N. 114th St., in Wauwatosa, by Oct. 1.
The location at 801 S. 60th St. has been open for a few years, selling new and used building materials donated by contractors, manufacturers, stores and private individuals. Profits help Habitat for Humanity's work building and renovating affordable housing.
Last year, Milwaukee's ReStore helped prevent 730,000 pounds of building materials being dumped into landfills, according to a press release.
The new space is 35,000 square feet and, according to a press release, "the new location will allow the Milwaukee ReStore to expand its business and better serve its customer base while providing a more flexible layout for its operations. In addition, the Milwaukee ReStore will now have prominent exposure along with Hwy 45 frontage and immediate access to the Highway 45 and Burleigh Road interchange."
