Two new shops recently opened on Locust Street in Riverwest. Glass Aquatics moved into the former home of the Riverwest Film & Video (which now resides next door to Fuel Café) and Dan K's (also known as "dank") moved a door to the east.

Glass Aquatics, 820 E. Locust St., offers pet food and aquarium supplies. Owner Ryan Glass also features a swell selection of tropical fish, including an amazing "lion fish." Stop in with the kids; it's as good if not better than Discovery World's aquatic offerings.

Dan K's offers blown glass goodies galore. Since Ring of Fire left Riverwest a few years ago, the neighborhood suffered a serious shortage of glass art baubles and "tobacco" paraphernalia.
