It’s almost time to enjoy an afternoon of music and celebration, this time with a focus on our collective impact on the planet.
While Earth Day is Tuesday, April 22nd, Rock the Green’s annual Earth Day Celebration is set to return on Saturday, April 26th, at the Harley-Davidson Museum from noon to 3 p.m. The event, now in its 14th year, is presented in collaboration with Milwaukee Riverkeeper and the City of Milwaukee’s Environmental Collaboration Office. A free concert will follow Milwaukee Riverkeeper’s 30th annual Spring Cleanup.
This free, family-friendly event promotes sustainability and community engagement with zero waste initiatives. Guests can enjoy live music on a pedal-powered stage, with the lineup to be revealed in the coming weeks. The celebration will also be home to an Eco-Champs Alley, which will feature more than 30 nonprofit and environmental organizations showcasing ways to support sustainability efforts.
Motor Bar & Restaurant will offer food and drinks throughout the event, and there will also be a free water station for those with refillable water bottles. The event will also feature the presentation of the Dan Aukofer Earth Day Rockstar Award as part of the celebration.
Stay tuned for the lineup, but do put this on your monthly concert calendars. For more details, visit the Rock the Green website.
