It's time to locate your muffin tins, Milwaukee. (More on this later if you're a newbie.) WMSE 91.7 is cranking up the heat with its 23rd annual Rockabilly Chili fundraiser.

WMSE’s Rockabilly Chili takes place Sunday, March 23 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the MSOE Kern Center, 1245 N. Broadway.

This is Wisconsin’s largest restaurant chili cookoff event featuring 40 different chilis from local restaurants, cafes and caterers. Thousands of people show up to sample the chilis and vote to determine which has the best taste and which has the coolest display. The categories for "best" taste are meat, heat and veggie.

Alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages will be available.

Bring two or more non-perishable food items for Hunger Task Force and receive two additional sample tickets. Peanut butter, low-sodium canned vegetables and whole-grain breakfast cereals are critically needed at this time. And, of course, bring a standard-sized muffin tin to carry around multiple samples at a time. Grub up, cowgirls and cowboys.
