The first "Rock The Roost Buffalo Wing Festival" takes place Saturday, Sept. 17 at the Milwaukee Harley-Davidson dealership, 11310 W. Silver Spring Dr.

The festival, which bills itself as Milwaukee's largest buffalo wing festival and aims to be an annual event, expects to draw more than 3,000 folks to sample local restaurants' wings, beer tastings and live music from the Great Lakes Drifters, Chrissy Dzioba and the Scott Rockit Band.

A performance by Brew City Bombshell Burlesque is planned and there's talk of "a giant beer bong."

Tickets to Rock The Roost are $10 in advance or $15 at the gate for admission, eight wings and beverage sampling. Attendees who bring a canned good for Hunger Task Force receive $3 off.
