The Brewers will hold a press conference this afternoon at Miller Park to formally introduce new manager Ron Roenicke.

Roenicke comes to the Brewers from the Los Angeles Angels, where he spent the 11 seasons on manager Mike Scioscia's staff -- the last six as his bench coach.

Roenicke replaces Ken Macha, whose option for 2011 wasn't picked up after two sub-.500 seasons. He will become the 18th manager in franchise history.

He has signed a two-year contract with a club option for 2013.
