Let me begin by saying that I take marriage very seriously. As an ordained minister, I take special pride in the couples that I have brought together in Holy Matrimony. Two of my married couples even had babies this past autumn. Who says that $39 I spent on the internet to become a man of God wasn't worth it!
I have performed weddings in parks, in open fields, and yes, on the ice at the Bradley Center. Sacrilegious? Blasphemy! What better way to blend your love of each other and your love of sports on Valentines Day!
This from the Milwaukee Admirals and OnMilwaukee.com today:
The Milwaukee Admirals are looking for hockey fanatics who dream of getting married on the ice during an Admirals game. This Feb. 14, the Milwaukee Admirals are hosting Weddings on Ice!
Presented by OnMilwaukee.com, Radio Now, Robert Haack Diamonds, FunJet Vacations and New York Garlic Knots, Weddings on Ice will be a mass wedding ceremony and vow renewal during the first intermission of the game. OnMilwaukee.com's Doug Russell will officiate the ceremony and one lucky couple will have the opportunity to win a FunJet Vacations trip of a life time for their honeymoon!
"There is nothing nobler or more admirable than when two people who see eye to eye keep house as man and wife, confounding their enemies and delighting their friends," said Admirals President Jon Greenberg and Homer.
Call Kim Salli today at (414) 227-0800 to book your Wedding on Ice!
In order to participate in the wedding couples must have applied for a marriage license more than eight days and not more than 30 days before the ceremony.
For those who are already married but want to watch this once-in-a-lifetime ceremony, they can purchase tickets for the February 14 game, or any Admirals game, by calling Ticketmaster at (800) 745-3000 or by logging onto our website at milwaukeeadmirals.com. Groups of ten or more will receive at least $2 off the face value of each ticket.
For more information or to purchase group tickets, fans can call the Admirals office at (414) 227-0550 or visit milwaukeeadmirals.com. Don't forget to follow the Admirals on twitter (@mkeadmirals) and on Facebook.
