Ryan Braun's Waterfront, which opened this past April in the former Fratello's location at 102 N. Water St., in the Third Ward, is closed for renovations. When it reopens, there will be changes to the menu and to the management team.

OnMilwaukee.com first learned the restaurant was closed over the weekend. Currently, a sign on the door says the restaurant was closed the weekend of Nov. 26-28 due to a lack of heat.

In addition, the restaurant's Web site, ryanbraunswaterfront.com, is no longer available and calls to the restaurant went to voicemail.

The restaurant's management team issued a statement on the matter Tuesday afternoon:

"We received wonderful feedback on the restaurant and are excited for our current and new customers to enjoy the new product we are about to unveil in the coming weeks. We would like to apologize to fans of the restaurant for any inconvenience this renovation might have on their plans."

"Because of the Third Ward location, RBWF management expected business to be on the upswing during the months of March-October and had planned to take advantage of the slower months to elevate the level of offerings to their customers."

Details on the expansion will be released in early December, she said.

Ryan Braun's Tavern and Grill in Lake Geneva remains open.
