After 11 years in business, Saloon on Calhoun with Bacon, 17000 W. Capitol Dr., is shuttering.

In a YouTube video, co-owner Dave Dayler says, "It is with heavy hearts and bacon-clogged arteries that we announce the closing of Saloon on Calhoun."

The last day of operations will be Saturday, Aug. 20. Patrons are urged to use all coupons, vip cards, drink chips and gift certificates by this date.

Saloon on Calhoun won WAMI’s Best Live Music Venue in SE Wisconsin four years in a row.

According to a press release, the reason for the close is due to low attendance post-Covid, increasing expenses and economic challenges brought on by the high cost of fuel.
