The Tool Shed, an erotic boutique, recently switched hands (I think that might be a pun; sorry) and the new owner, Laura Anne Stuart, hostesses her first big event since taking charge of the saucy shop.

This Saturday, Aug. 23, from noon to 7 p.m., Tool Shed celebrates the SaSi, allegedly the world's most technologically advanced vibrator.

During the event, customers who purchase a SaSi -- which is made of silicon and costs $185 -- get a free gift: a bottle of Frolic, a water-based lubricant that normally costs $15. Plus, anyone who signs up for Tool Shed's e-mail newsletter has a chance to win a free, 30-minute acupressure session from Hundred Grasses Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine in Bay View.

According to Stuart, SaSi uses new Sensual Intelligence Technology, which allows users to program the device based on preference.

"(Sensual Intelligence Technology) allows it to learn and remember what vibrations and movements the user likes and repeat them later," says Stuart.
