The Lakefront International Festival of Sausages – better known as Sausage Fest – will serve up all-you-can-eat local links Saturday, Sept. 10 from 2 to 8 p.m.

The sixth annual event will take place on Lincoln Avenue outside Café Centraal. It will feature sausage from a number of local vendors, including Adamcyzk Foods, Buddy's Meat Market, Glorioso Bros Italian Foods, Ray's Butcher Shoppe and Rupena's Fine Foods – all served on Breadsmith buns.

The festival also offers Point sodas, house-made lemonade and beverages from Lakefront Brewery and Great Lakes Distillery available for purchase, plus live music, a sausage-eating contest and kids' activities.

A celebrity panel of "sausage experts" will also select the "Best of the Wurst" in a variety of categories, including a Best of Show winner to become the exclusive sausage maker for the Lowlands Group – Café Hollander-Downer Avenue, Café Hollander-Tosa Village, Café Centraal, Café Benelux and Trocadero Gastrobar.

All-you-can-eat sausage is $10 per person, which will benefit the Wounded Warrior Project.
