It looks as if Screaming Tuna might be on its way to Wauwatosa.

The restaurant, which currently operates a location at 106 W. Seeboth St. in Walker's Point, has filed a request with the Wauwatosa Plan Commission seeking a conditional use permit to open a second location for the restaurant at 7954 Harwood Ave. The building has also been targeted for a new Stone Creek Coffee location).

"We've been exploring potential locations for a second restaurant for quite some time," notes Jeff Bronstad, co-owner of Screaming Tuna. "Walker's Point has been an amazing place to call home these last five years, so finding a great fit for our second home is extremely important. We think Wauwatosa would be an excellent place to hang our hats at the end of day."

According to paperwork filed by Bronstad, the full-service restaurant would serve sushi, appetizers, hot entrées, craft cocktails, sake, wine and beer. Proposed operating hours would be Monday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to midnight, Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 a.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to midnight.

The proposal is slated for presentation to the city's plan commission on Jan. 11.
