According to the Milwaukee Police Department 389 people -- including only 76 Milwaukee-area residents -- were arrested this year’s Big Gig. Thirty of the total number arrested were juveniles.

Final 2006 Summerfest attendance figures will not be available until later this week, but estimates places the final gate at around 1 million.

Largest arrest categories:

245 charges for possession of alcohol by underage person.
7 charges for furnishing alcohol to an underage person.
41 charges for possession of a controlled substance.
59 charges for disorderly conduct.
13 charges for battery.
33 charges for resisting/obstructing an officer.
10 charges for theft.
11 arrests on warrants.
