Today, Sheriff David Clarke posted a threatening meme to the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office Facebook page in response to the controversy surrounding a recent formal complaint filed against the sheriff.
Pictured in the meme is Dan Black, a 24-year-old Milwaukee man who filed a formal complaint against the sheriff after a brief interaction on a weekend plane ride from Dallas to Milwaukee led to Black being questioned by police and escorted out of Mitchell Airport on Sunday.
According to Black, he asked the sheriff, who was dressed in Dallas Cowboys apparel, if he was Sheriff Clarke. When Clarke said yes, Black noted in his original viral Facebook post that "he shook his head at him and moved on." Clarke then asked if Black had a problem, to which Black claimed he shook his head no. When the plane landed, however, Black says he was greeted by "about six cops and drug/bomb dogs who questioned me for about fifteen minutes before escorting me out." He then filed a formal complaint Tuesday, to which Clarke responded to on Wednesday on the Sheriff's Facebook page:
After that response, The Milwaukee Coalition Against Trump sent a message to the media about Clarke's threatening post and the group's protest Friday. When FOX 6 reached out to Clarke for a comment about MCAT's statement, Clarke posted the FOX 6 reporter's message – and then, in a new post, the new meme threat – to Facebook.
Stay tuned to OnMilwaukee for more updates on this story as they come in.
As much as it is a gigantic cliché to say that one has always had a passion for film, Matt Mueller has always had a passion for film. Whether it was bringing in the latest movie reviews for his first grade show-and-tell or writing film reviews for the St. Norbert College Times as a high school student, Matt is way too obsessed with movies for his own good.
When he's not writing about the latest blockbuster or talking much too glowingly about "Piranha 3D," Matt can probably be found watching literally any sport (minus cricket) or working at - get this - a local movie theater. Or watching a movie. Yeah, he's probably watching a movie.
