It’s time to enjoy a final breakfast, lunch or brunch at Simple Cafe, 2124 N. Farwell Ave.

According to a recent report by TMJ4, the East Side staple has announced that it will be closing its doors a the end of July.

Like so many recent closings, the decision was fueled by both losses and uncertainty related to the pandemic.

"The pandemic did so much damage, so it was hard to recover from that, even though the business is picking up now, we were just losing too much money,"  Supervisor Jorge Trejo told TMJ4.

The Milwaukee location for Simple Cafe, which is owned by Young Cho and Tom Hartz of Simple Food Group, opened in January of 2013.

Their original cafe in Lake Geneva will remain open for business.
