The "Social Circle" is a group effort between readers, social networkers and the OnMilwaukee.com editors. Every Monday, we ask a question via Facebook and Twitter and then post the responses from our Facebook "likers" and Twitter followers in this column. Well-known Milwaukee movers and shakers will contribute, too.

If you look in the top left-hand corner of your Facebook page, you may notice a "2013" in bright blue letters. If you click on this, you can see your top 20 Facebook moments of the year.

OnMilwaukee.com asked the Social Circle what, based on this feature, were their best moments in the world of social media. How about you? What were your favoriteFacebook moments of 2013?

Debbie Baran: "I posted a status update that my husband, Greg, lost his wedding ring in Humboldt Park and through social networking and the kindness of strangers it found its way back to him."

Lashona Boyd: "Being admitted to the MBA program at Alverno and bringing home our puppy, Maximus."

Brian Brehmer: "When I got my Maine coon kitten, Mia."

Steve Brockman: "Here was my post: 'Guys, remember when the thought of six women and two guys in a hotel room sounded like a good idea?! The fantasy is dead.'"

Suni Daze: "Planning and performing at the first ever Milwaukee Psych Fest. Playing with and seeing Prince Rama. Playing with and seeing Nik Turner's Hawkwind. Touring. Meeting the woman of my dreams, my soulmate, my everything."

Paul Kennedy: "I watched a documentary on LSD. From now on I'm going to watch all documentaries this way."

Lisa Malmarowski: "Besides getting married, wet willies from a goat."

Amy Serio: "My kids’ birthdays!"

Allison Thompson: "I got married and I bought a house. We also got a new puppy, Miles, and went on vacation this summer to San Francisco. It was a really good year."

Caitlin Zhenotdel: "It is interesting to look back on the Facebook highlights of 2013 because if you asked me in conversation what my thoughts were on the year, I would, most likely, say it was not a great year. But seeing these highlights, I am reminded it was actually a pretty good year. I got a new job. I traveled to the East Coast. And I had some really nice moments with my family."
