Welcome to a weekly segment called "Social Circle." It's OnMilwaukee.com's first article that's truly a group effort between readers, social networkers and the OnMilwaukee.com editors.

Every Monday, we ask a question via Facebook and Twitter and then post the responses from our Facebook "likers" and Twitter followers in the Thursday column. Well-known Milwaukee movers and shakers will contribute, too.

In a city with as many bars as Milwaukee has, there are going to be a lot of bartenders. Some good, some not so good and some really, really good. This week, we polled our social media friends about who's on the shortlist of awesome Brew City barkeeps. Here are their responses and feel free to share your own via the Talkback feature.

Mike Brenner: "Randy at At Random. Right after I turned 21, I would go in there all the time with my band's drummer, Leon, who knew Randy from back in the day. We'd roll in at 2 a.m. after a gig and he'd play Steely Dan for us, and Leon would teach me all the harmonies. Leon's favorite drink was a Beam and Coke with a side of "Potass" (half a banana as a chaser)."

Rebecca Lee Buchiger: "How to pick only one?! Do not make me choose between Evan Barnes and Michael Morton."

Ken Chrisien: "Dan and John D. at the Palm Tavern. Best. Bartenders. Ever."

John Ecker: "Annie at Rocco's."

Helene Feider: "Evan Barnes. He mixes it up by working at several bars throughout the city and is often a guest bartender at establishments that also love him."

Jenny Gajewski: "Gil at Serum. He rocks."

Anthony Garrison: "Freddie at B.B. Rubbles."

Roy Henning: "Going to give a thumbs up for Clint Sterwald I'm pretty sure I've been to every bar he's worked at over the last 10 years. Top notch, top notch!"

Trish Hundhausen: "PK (Paul Kennedy) for sure. And Adrienne Pierluissi (Sugar Maple)."

Dan Krass: "This is too easy: Mike Christ, owner / railminder at Mike's A Little Bit Country!"

Lisa Malmarowski: "Easy. Dave at Meritage."

Dave Mikolajek: "Mike Crist."

Laura Nitsch: "I haven't found one yet that makes a good sour drink. Seems like everyone uses 50/50 soda."

Kate A. Nowicki: "Bill Castonozzi at Coquette Cafe."

Tina Nyler: "Rosemary at Mad Planet."

Lynn Peters Ojelabi: "Tim at Dave and Buster's!"

Andy Pagel: "PK at Tonic."

Natalie Policht: "Anyone at Planet Marky."

Casey Renn: "Becky Godfrey at Vintage."

Kimbery Rykowski Pedersen: "If you have one, you're in the bar too often!"

Adrienne Pierluissi: "Katie Rose, whether she's at Jacque's, Burnhearts or Bryant's."

Jaimmie Sturgard: "Another vote for Dan at the Palm."

Mike Taylor: "There are so many good ones in this town. I am from Texas, where there were very few. Mostly a lot of poser country stars. But here I really like all the bartenders at Victor's a lot. And Geo at the Y-No tII is good, too."

Robert Vespalec: "Evan (Barnes) by far!"

Alicia Wahl: "Pauly at This is It, and Joel at Jugheads."

Mitchell Wakefield: "College Dave (Dave Mikolojak), PK, Marty Jackson, Tommy Mills."

Christina Ward: "My brother: S. Edward Ward at Juniper 61."

Melissa Yokofich: "Clint at the Iron Horse."
