Welcome to a weekly segment called "Social Circle." It's a group effort between readers, social networkers and the OnMilwaukee.com editors. Every Monday, we ask a question via Facebook and Twitter and then post the responses from our Facebook "likers" and Twitter followers in this column. Well-known Milwaukee movers and shakers will contribute, too.

It's that time of year in Wisconsin when winter starts to drag on and on. People start feeling cooped up, impatient for spring and more annoyed with snowfall or cold weather than they were a month or two ago.

So what's a person to do?

OnMilwaukee.com asked the Social Circle this week how they fight the winter blues / blahs, and here are their responses. Feel free to add yours via the Talkback feature below.

Romy Ayer: "Running outside."

Shannon Bronner: "A margarita usually does it for me."

Frank Datzer: "Exercise. Winter biking as long as I can with spiked bike tires."

Neal Frickson: "Bacon."

Stephanie Gruenloh: "Escape to Arizona to watch spring training."

Daniel Hintz: "Black metal."

Tracy Korpela: "Art Milwaukee's East Side Music Tour was this Saturday. Great music, great friends, great Brady Street businesses and lots of beer. That cured the winter blues."

Erin Shea Linnane: "Extra vitamins to help fight the S.A.D., and swim classes through the Recreation Department at Gaenslen's heated pool. The heated pool really helps."

Milinda Lee Mueller: "Plan or go on a Disney vacation!"

Tone Pagan: "Living in Florida and returning in the summer. LOL."

Jonathan Poppe: "Planning summer vacations."

Lindsay Puetz: "Beautiful snow boots, smashing through snow with my Subaru and smoking meats."

Toni Spott: "Florida!"

John Tomlinson: "Vacation on a hot sunny beach anywhere! Just got back from Panama."

Daniel S. Webb: "Alcohol."

David White: "E&J."

Chris Zito: "A bike ride WITHOUT studded tires!"
