Acccording to co-owner Kevin Sloan, Sol Fire, 2014 N. Farwell Ave., is closed. The Latin American-inspired restaurant and bar shut its doors after Sloan and business partner Carrie Torres were unable to negotiate a new lease with the building's landlord. Other issues contributed to the owners' decision to close the business, as well.

"We were not necessarily doing the volume there to justify the rent that we pay for that space and thought it better to focus our energies on The Social for now," says Sloan.

Sol Fire's entire menu is still available for catering, says Sloan, who also owns The Social Bar & Grill and Room 434.

"Carrie and I wanted to thank everyone for their support and the many encouraging comments we received through our Web site and while we were working in the restaurant. That support inspired us for a long time, continuing through our last night of service," says Sloan.
