In the late '60s, Miller Brewing Co. introduced low-calorie Miller Lite. Last summer, the company released Miller Chill, a light lager beer brewed with lime and salt. Now, the second largest brewery in the country is test marketing three craft, light beers: a blonde ale, amber and wheat.

The new beers have 110 calories and intended to combine low-calorie beer with craft-style taste. Although Milwaukee was not chosen as one of the test markets, the beer is expected to hit local liquor stores this summer.

What are you early thoughts on this beer? Do you have high or low expectations for these new craft beers from Miller?

Sounds delicious. This is a great idea and I cannot wait to sample them. There are not enough choices for light beer drinkers and these sounds very tasty. It simply makes sense to combine craft beers with light beers, and in the end, it's good for everyone, including small craft breweries because these products might introduce mainstream drinkers to different tastes.

This sounds like over-marketed swill. “Light” beers taste terrible and are meant for drinkers who don't really like beer. If all you're concerned about is calories, then don't drink beer. These new beers will at best taste like watered-down version of the real thing. No thanks, Miller.
