{image1}Welcome to the second week of a new weekly OMC column, "Sunday Sound-off." Every Sunday, OMC will ask a question and post your responses in an article the following week.

Last week, we asked readers if they thought Mark Attanasio, the new owner of the Brewers, would have a positive impact on the team's success. Here's what you said:

Tony Busateri, Milwaukee
"Yes, I think the new owner will make a huge positive impact on the Brewers. Just his first year alone look at the great trades they've made, especially getting Carlos Lee is BIG. His positive influence and deeper pockets, I think, will benefit the Brew tremendosly. Thanks."

Lynn Gary, Milwaukee
"After years of abysmal baseball (ever since Sal Bando dismantled the only talent we had), the only place to go is up. The last few times I went to Miller Park it was to enjoy the ambience of dining with friends in the 300 Club and sitting in the club seats. Miller Park is a beautiful stadium, and on a warm, Milwaukee summer night, there is no better place to be. If we won the game, it was a bonus. However, I have mixed emotions about an out-of-towner who won't be spending more than a few weeks a year in Milwaukee looking at our team as dollars and cents. Having local ownership of our sports franchises has certainly spoiled us; I'm hoping that Mr. Attanasio will understand Milwaukee sports fans and what we have come to know and love about baseball. Please improve our team, make us proud baseball fans and please, please, don't announce when the Miller Park contract is up that our Brewers will be moving to a more profitable venue!"

Next week's question: Will PabstCity drastically improve Milwaukee's Downtown neighborhoods, and should the City help finance the development?

E-mail us at soundoff@staff.onmilwaukee.com and if picked, we'll post your response next Sunday. Please include your name and where you live.

Henry Johnson, South Milwaukee
"I am skeptical but hopeful. We've been horrible for so long I forgot what it feels like to have a winning team. If Mark can give us another night like the night we won the American League in '82, then I will be forever grateful. It was one of the best nights of my life. I'm just not feeling overly confident about this guy. It's a gut feeling, I guess."

Patricia Hayes, Milwaukee
"I am hopeful about the Brewers this season. If the new owner is willing to spend some money on players, and a couple of our good prospects from the minor leagues can make the move to Milwaukee soon, the fans could see some more wins. We have been supporting the Brewers for many years. It's great fun to go the ballpark. But it's more fun when we win. A beautiful new stadium and now new ownership -- I expect big things. The Brewers should be able to have a higher goal than .500 baseball!"
