Love is in the air – and on your canvas at Splash Studio, which will feel the love in particular this Valentine's Day with a new pop-up: Cupid Studio, Jan. 31 through Feb. 23 at the East Side painting bar.

Much like the bar's elf-themed transformation for Christmas, Cupid Studio will feature a collection of special art projects based on romance – "celebrating the love of couples, families, besties and singles," according to Splash Studio's announcement – as well as romantic menu items, "take and make" activities, inventive and inspired photo ops, and Valentine's Day-approved cocktails, such as the "Box of Chocolates" flight featuring a chocolate orange bourbon old fashioned, a chocolate martini and a cinnamon hot chocolate.

Ice cream cocktails will also be on the menu, such as Splash Studio's bourbon Alexander topped with bourbon maple caramel corn from Lush Popcorn.

Reservations can be made at Cupid Studio's website. Children with a parent or guardian are welcome at all times – save for Fridays and Saturdays after 5 p.m., when only those 16 and older are allowed. For more information, go to Cupid Studio's website. Otherwise, get ready to fall in love with Splash Studio's latest incarnation – and stay tuned to OnMilwaukee for a first look.

As much as it is a gigantic cliché to say that one has always had a passion for film, Matt Mueller has always had a passion for film. Whether it was bringing in the latest movie reviews for his first grade show-and-tell or writing film reviews for the St. Norbert College Times as a high school student, Matt is way too obsessed with movies for his own good.

When he's not writing about the latest blockbuster or talking much too glowingly about "Piranha 3D," Matt can probably be found watching literally any sport (minus cricket) or working at - get this - a local movie theater. Or watching a movie. Yeah, he's probably watching a movie.
