The resolution to "Avengers: Infinity War." "Toy Story 4." A new "Godzilla" movie. There's plenty of big blockbusters coming to the big screen next summer, but the most exciting one might be headed to the Riverside Theater.
This afternoon, the Riverside announced that it will screen "The Empire Strikes Back" – only one of the best sequels and one of the best movies, period, ever – complete with the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra playing John Williams' iconic score live alongside the movie. The special performance-slash-screening will play three days: Friday, May 31 and Saturday, June 1 at 7:30 p.m., as well as a matinee show on Sunday, June 2 at 2:30 p.m.
Tickets for the shows go on sale beginning Friday, Oct. 26 at noon. For more information, visit The Pabst Theater's website. Be there – or be a stuck-up, half-witted, scruffy-looking nerf-herder.
As much as it is a gigantic cliché to say that one has always had a passion for film, Matt Mueller has always had a passion for film. Whether it was bringing in the latest movie reviews for his first grade show-and-tell or writing film reviews for the St. Norbert College Times as a high school student, Matt is way too obsessed with movies for his own good.
When he's not writing about the latest blockbuster or talking much too glowingly about "Piranha 3D," Matt can probably be found watching literally any sport (minus cricket) or working at - get this - a local movie theater. Or watching a movie. Yeah, he's probably watching a movie.
