The Great Milwaukee Summer is HERE! Your guide to what you'll be doing, where you'll be drinking, who you'll be hearing and how you'll be getting a sweet tan this summer is on OnMilwaukee. The Great Milwaukee Summer guide is brought to you by Educators Credit Union and Harley-Davidson Museum

With festival and live music series announcements practically every day, summer is starting to take shape – and now so is Summer Soulstice, which today revealed the musical acts taking its East Side stages on Saturday, June 17.

Hosted by the East Side Business Improvement District, #20 (ESBID) from noon until midnight, Summer Soulstice will feature more than 20 acts scattered across three stages as well as a DJ stage found in Black Cat Alley. In addition to all of the outstanding music, Summer Soulstice also features dozens of vendors throughout the East Side hub, selling food, drink, arts and crafts, activities and more alongside East Side staple businesses.

"I’m excited for the Milwaukee community to experience an incredible assortment of genres and sounds from some of the best local and regional talent," said Jayk Burczyk, Summer Soulstice's booking curator, in a release. "Having a variety of stages at this day-long event means that attendees can experience a variety of music and performers in just a few blocks. You’re sure to find a new artist to love around every corner!"

As much as it is a gigantic cliché to say that one has always had a passion for film, Matt Mueller has always had a passion for film. Whether it was bringing in the latest movie reviews for his first grade show-and-tell or writing film reviews for the St. Norbert College Times as a high school student, Matt is way too obsessed with movies for his own good.

When he's not writing about the latest blockbuster or talking much too glowingly about "Piranha 3D," Matt can probably be found watching literally any sport (minus cricket) or working at - get this - a local movie theater. Or watching a movie. Yeah, he's probably watching a movie.
