Swig prepping to replace 1225 on Water Street

Swig, a new Downtown restaurant, is opening soon to replace what was 1225 Water Streets Malibu Beach Club, The Skyy Lounge and Lukes on Water Sports Bar & Grill. Promotional advertisements promise a fresh spin on the Water Street strip.

And although owner Joe Sorge declined to provide details about the new venture, OnMilwaukee.com learned that a private grand opening party for Swig will be held Wednesday, Jan. 26.
