When one door closes, another opens.

For example, while the popular Tap Yard beer gardens have ended their summer season, the Brookfield and Menomonee Falls locations are hosting a special “Home Alone”-themed winter dome experience, 5-10 p.m., every Thursday, Friday and Saturday, from Nov. 29 to Feb. 1.

Reservations are now open for the domes, which can host six people at Fox Brook Park and eight guests at Menomonee Park.

The immersive 90-minute experience features ”all of the hi-jinks from the movie. Kevin’s Battle Plan will be laid out in real life.”

The experience has a new food and drink menu inspired by what Kevin eats in the film.

Click here to purchase a time slot for Brookfield and click here to do the same in Menomonee Falls. To prevent no-shows, a $50 non-refundable deposit – applied to your final bill when you visit – is required. Each reservation is for the maximum number of people in the domes (eight in Falls, six in Brookfield).

Domes include seating for the max number of guests, service, a heater and a speaker so you can play your own music (maybe the “Home Alone” soundtrack?!).

About 7-10 days before your reservation, you’ll get a form to order from the a la carte menu, which includes:

  • Charcuterie Boards – 4- or 6-person
  • Veggie Tray with Dips
  • Bavarian Beast Milwaukee Pretzel
  • Potato Cheddar Bacon Tots
  • Kevin's Mac & Cheese
  • Little Nero's Cheese Pizza
  • BBQ Chicken. Buffalo Chicken, or Pepperoni Pizzas
  • Chicken Pot Pie
  • McCallister's TV Dinner featuring Chicken Pot Pie, Kevin's Mac & Cheese and an Ice Cream Sundae
  • Dessert – Decadent Chocolate Cake
  • 4-8 beer bucket choices that will include 17 different beer options including craft and domestic beer options and hard seltzers!
  • Red, White or Champagne bottle options
  • Mistletoe or Wet Bandit Mimosa
  • New Holiday Drinks to come

A 20 percent gratuity will be added to the total bill after choices are made.

Please note that all vehicles entering Menomonee Falls Park require a daily park entrance permit or annual park membership. Pay within five days of visit to avoid a ticket. Park fee information and FAQs can be found at waukeshacounty.gov/thetapyard.
