I wrote in November about Blackbird Bar owner Holly DeShaw's quest to make the neighborhood drinking hole at 3007 S. Kinnickinnic Ave. one of the state's biggest champions of Wisconsin-brewed beers.
Well DeShaw is celebrating the bar's expanded Wisconsin beer list (more than 65 choices) with visits and tastings from more than a dozen Wisconsin breweries over a four night stretch starting Jan. 24.
DeShaw is calling the mini-beer festival "Taste Your State," with breweries like Lakefront, Hinterland, Sand Creek and others taking part.
With beer specials and raffles each night it sounds like it will pretty cheap and easy to head home with a buzz and some brewery schwag.
