On Tuesday, WYTU-TV Telemundo Wisconsin Ch. 63 announced the addition of Cristina Navarrete and Nayeli Santoyo to its news team. 

Cristina Navarrete was an intern at NBC-Telemundo and made her on-air debut covering Venezuela’s 2012 Presidential Elections as a correspondent for a Venezuelan television station. Nayeli Santoyo is a bilingual journalist with a degree from Chicago’s Columbia College and interned at the La Raza newspaper and Telemundo Chicago.

"I am very excited to be adding Cristina and Nayeli to our news staff," WDJT-TV CBS 58 and Telemundo Wisconsin News Director Genie Garner said in a release. 

"The addition of two bilingual multimedia journalists gives us even more ability to cover stories of importance to the Spanish speaking communities of Wisconsin."

Navarrete and Santoyo join anchors Carlos Vergara and Sandra Torres, and multimedia journalist Lila Carrera on "Noticiero Telemundo," a Spanish-language 10 p.m. weekday newscast.

RACING: Duck Commander, the brand of the best-selling duck calls and name of the thriving family-owned company led by the Robertson family of A&E's "Duck Dynasty" fame, is in the racing business.

Duck Commander signed a new three-year deal, making it title sponsor of the annual spring NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race at Texas Motor Speedway in Fort Worth, Texas. Duck Commander will begin their relationship with the April 6, 2014, race at Texas Motor Speedway that will be known as the Duck Commander 500.

MONEY: Fox Business Network is developing an original alternative primetime program entitled "Strange Inheritance" that will debut this summer.

The production hosted by Tracy Byrnes will take a closer look at some real-life, unconventional inheritances, said Kevin Magee, the executive VP of the Fox Business Network.

"A venture like ‘Strange Inheritance’ helps us diversify our primetime programming," Magee said. "Its eccentric premise is a compelling option for a business audience after hours." 

The half-hour show is being produced by Jonathan Towers, the founder and senior executive producer of Towers Productions, LLC. Towers has worked on a number of prominent reality-based series, including: A&E’s "American Justice," National Geographic’s "Inside 9/11" and History Channel’s "Gangland."

"Strange Inheritance" goes into production later this month.

SOAPS: Starting on Monday, TVGN will air same day episodes of television’s most-watched daytime drama series in the world, "The Bold and The Beautiful," every weeknight at 5:30 p.m.

The encore airing of the long-running soap precedes TVGN’s encore airings of "The Young and The Restless" weekdays a 6 p.m.

EMPLOYMENT: Late last week, Time Warner Cable, which employs more than 50,000 people throughout the country, issued a statement regarding its recent participation in a White House economic summit on issues pertaining to the long-term unemployed.

"Time Warner Cable is pleased to reaffirm our long-held practice of providing equal employment opportunities to the long-term unemployed," said Rob Marcus, chairman and CEO of Time Warner Cable. "We thank President Obama for including us in the White House event focused on this important labor issue, and have updated our EEO statement to make it clear that job applicants will not be disadvantaged based on their current employment status."

"We are proud to be a strong employer in cities, towns and communities throughout the country, and believe in doing our part to help put the long-term unemployed back to work."
