The 42 – a new facility in the Pabst complex with office spaces, the new Milwaukee Brewing Company brewery, an event space and Glass + Griddle, a new beer garden restaurant run by former Wolf Peach executive chef Kyle Toner – is opening its doors at the end of the month. But why merely open your new venue when you can open it with a bunch of local music shows?
That's the thinking behind The 42's beer garden concert series, beginning on Wednesday, Aug. 29 – the venue's official opening date – and running through Sunday, Sept. 2.
Glass + Griddle will open at noon, serving food until 9 p.m. and beverages until 1 a.m., and the brewery will be open for beers at the taproom bar and tours of the new space. Meanwhile, throughout the day, local artists will perform at the complex each day from 1 until 10 p.m.

As much as it is a gigantic cliché to say that one has always had a passion for film, Matt Mueller has always had a passion for film. Whether it was bringing in the latest movie reviews for his first grade show-and-tell or writing film reviews for the St. Norbert College Times as a high school student, Matt is way too obsessed with movies for his own good.
When he's not writing about the latest blockbuster or talking much too glowingly about "Piranha 3D," Matt can probably be found watching literally any sport (minus cricket) or working at - get this - a local movie theater. Or watching a movie. Yeah, he's probably watching a movie.
