Thanks to a new “Holidays with The Hop” initiative, each of streetcar's 18 Downtown stations has been gussied up for the festive season.
The “Holidays with The Hop” initiative was undertaken with a range of partners that chipped in to design and install their own displays.
The partners include:
- 2-Story Creative
- The Grohmann Museum
- Historic Third Ward Association
- HNTB
- Jewish Museum Milwaukee
- Journey House
- Metro Market | Pick ‘n Save
- Milwaukee Downtown BID 21
- Milwaukee Intermodal Station
- Milwaukee Public Market
“With millions of lights to see, countless local businesses to support, and safe, socially-distanced
activities for all ages, downtown Milwaukee is the destination for holiday fun,” said Milwaukee Mayor Tom
Barrett in a statement Friday. “We’re proud to have The Hop once again be a holiday attraction for the City, and so appreciative of our wonderful partners who contributed their time and talents to make these stations
shine.
"Whether you experience ‘Holidays with The Hop’ on board the streetcar or from the comfort of
your own vehicle, we encourage everyone to make a trip downtown part of their agenda this holiday
season.”
The displays are expected to be completed by Saturday, Dec. 19, and remain up through Sunday, Jan. 3.
